Andy joined Elmet Technologies in August 2013. Prior to joining Elmet, Andy spent 26 years with Allegheny Technologies Incorporated and Waste Management Incorporated in Engineering, Quality, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and General Management roles covering domestic and international operations. Andy holds a B.S. degree in Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, an M.B.A. degree from the Atkinson program at Willamette University, and completed studies in international economics at New College, Oxford University.
Marc P. Lamare • Vice President, Sales, and Marketing
Marc joined Elmet Technologies in 1983 and has held a range of positions in engineering, project management, plant manager, sales, marketing, and business development. Marc’s responsibilities include global sales and marketing, customer service, and production planning. Marc holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine and an MBA from Texas A&M University in Commerce, TX.
John L. Johnson, Ph.D. • Vice President, Technology
John joined Elmet Technologies in June of 2014. Prior to joining Elmet, John was Director of Powder Sales for Kennametal Firth Sterling. Before moving to sales he spent 19 years in various R&D positions at ATI Firth Sterling, Kennametal, Alcoa Howmet, AMTellect (a U.S. subsidiary of Singapore Technologies), and Penn State University. John has a B.S. in Materials Engineering from Virginia Tech, an M.S. in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Ph.D. in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Penn State University. John has published over 80 papers in the areas of powder metallurgy, ceramics, and powder injection molding. He serves on the Editorial Boards of Metallurgical and Materials Transactions, International Journal of Refractory Metals & Hard Materials, and International Journal of Powder Metallurgy and is the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) Technical Board Representative for the Refractory Metals Association. He is also on the American Powder Metallurgy Institute (APMI) International Board of Directors.
