Corrosion resistance, creep resistance, and high-temperature performance make molybdenum and tungsten crucibles ideal for use in high-temperature crystal growth processes. In the last 10 years, Elmet has invested in one of the largest US-based hot spinning machines to make large molybdenum hot spun crucibles and other seamless refractory products. Our hot spinning operation has the capacity to spin up to 1/2 “ thick molybdenum blanks as large as 62” in diameter.
